I get to speak with decision makers at schools to help them solve problems!

What excites you most about working at Elevate K-12?

Working at a startup is so fast paced compared to my previous career in teaching. Working as an SDR has taught me a lot about myself and I love being challenged and learning regularly at work.

What's a "normal" day like for you at Elevate K-12?

In a normal day, I will call administrators at school districts to learn about how they're handling the national teacher shortage. I call for most of the day, and when I'm done with that, I will send emails out to other administrators. Other things in my day include meetings with the other Elevaters on the Sales team, breaking down call recordings, and finding new people and districts to have conversations with.

What do you enjoy most about our culture?

I love the amount of flexibility that we have at Elevate. Working from home is a huge plus, and it allows me to have a work/life balance that was not possible with teaching. On top of that, it feels like everyone is a part of the team. Being able to casually strike up a conversation with the CEO is something that probably isn't very common throughout the world.

Elevate K-12's mission is to bring high-quality instruction to all students, no matter their zip code. What do you like most about impacting students in this way?

I love the scale at which we get to have an impact. I have always been passionate about education and the magnitude of impact we're having at Elevate is incredibly exciting.

Describe your best moment at Elevate K-12. Be specific!

My best moment at Elevate was hitting my monthly quota for the first time. When moving from teaching to sales, I had been nervous that maybe it wouldn't be for me, but after hitting quota I knew that I had it in me to do the job successfully, and that my efforts would actually make a difference for kids that might otherwise have had a lower quality educational experience. That confidence boost is what really motivated me to double down and perfect my process, which has been extremely fulfilling!

Tell us a little more about who you are - what do you like to do?

Outside of work, I am a techie. My hobbies include 3D printing, drone racing, gaming, and entrepreneurship. Something surprising about me is that before Elevate, I started a company that produced a specialized timer for individuals with disabilities. It was this experience that led me to want to learn and grow at a startup like Elevate!
