Senior Product Manager (L5)

Elevate K-12 is a Series C funded, rapid growth stage start-up focused on solving the crisis-level teacher shortage in US K-12 schools changing the way classrooms work live, virtual instruction that gives students access to high quality, certified teachers who help them prepare for the world of the future! For our teacher community, we open new work opportunities proprietary platform and curriculum, enabling them to deliver live remote instruction across multiple subjects in elementary, middle, and high schools across the US. Our goal is to enable high quality live teaching for every learner in the U.S., from kindergarten through their first jobs, so they can receive the education they need to identify and pursue their unique passions in life. On the heels of a Series C funding led by General Catalyst, Elevate K-12 is enjoying strong business momentum, growing revenues at a 100% y-y, with plans to double again next year. To continue this momentum, we are investing in building out a strong product and technology function to power the next generation of solutions for students, teachers, and school/districts. The Elevate Software Engineering team, delivering cutting edge educational software at enterprise class scale and with consumer-grade experiences to deliver on our company mission.   

Your Mission:  

In pursuit of this goal, we are looking for a Product Manager to join our technical team as we move from being a tech-enabled service to a tech product company. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic people who love solving complex business problems and providing excellent technical solutions. Problems you’ll get to solve include:  

In this role, you’ll: 

  • Enable high-quality education for all students, regardless of location, by connecting teachers to opportunities and offering remote work flexibility. 
  • Develop tools for teachers' professional growth, including feedback, coaching, and professional development programs. 
  • Empower teachers with data-driven insights to enhance student outcomes measurably. 
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and accounting to create solutions that foster teacher growth and success. 
  • Expand our teacher network on the elevate platform, enhancing their effectiveness in remote teaching. 

The Job:  

  • Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap of your product areas, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market research, and business goals. 
  • Contribute to product vision and product strategy to help drive impact and usage. 
  • Collaborate closely with engineering team, design, marketing, operations and customer success teams spread across US and India to ensure successful product development and launch. 
  • Understand and advocate for the needs of our customers and teachers by gathering and analyzing user feedback and data to make informed product decisions. 
  • Own entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality product releases. Ensure products and releases are launched smoothly and on schedule. 
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of your products, and adjust strategies accordingly. 
  • Act as a product evangelist, both internally and externally, by promoting and educating stakeholders about the benefits and features of your products. 

What you will need:  

  • 6+ years of experience in product management for a technology company, preferably servicing K-12 students and teachers. 
  • Experience delivering enterprise SaaS Product led Growth products. 
  • Proven history of managing and shipping successful software products with cross-functional teams, at scale 
  • You love learning and are excited about helping others learn to love learning. You’re motivated to learn new things, experiment, and share what you learn with the world. 
  • Deep empathy for teachers teaching students from K-12th and a curiosity about what makes a great remote teaching experience. 
  • Have led by influence across distributed product teams and driven product design and requirements across many product roadmaps and engineering teams 
  • Have proven strong analytical abilities and a preference for making data driven decisions 
  • Demonstrated track record of “roll up your sleeves and just get-it-done” approach in a highly ambiguous environment 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related technical fields; MBA is preferred. 
  • Leadership - proven ability to set a vision, excite and lead a cross-functional engineering team. 
  • Ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates  team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals
