This is a hybrid role. It requires working from our downtown Chicago office 3 days per week (every Tuesday and Wednesday required. 3rd day your choice!)

What you will add:

The Director of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for the internal recruitment process across the organization. This position will be the driver of innovative and inclusive tactics to attract, assess, and select talent across all levels of internal hiring. This role will contribute to operationalizing the strategies to scale Elevate K-12’s hiring efforts.

The Director of Talent Acquisition will work in partnership with department heads and hiring managers to determine its recruiting needs. This includes preparing hiring forecasts and maintaining a robust pipeline of talent for frequently filled positions. They, therefore, will need to be collaborative in nature and deeply understand the culture of this extremely high growth organization.

This position requires a strategic thinker who understands the needs of the organization. They will develop a working knowledge of each department to quickly identify hiring needs at each level. With this understanding, they will create and implement specific recruiting strategies and programs that directly impact business results. This strategy should include sourcing partnerships and increasing sourcing efforts.

In addition to operational strategy, this role is responsible for the candidate experience. As such, the Director of Talent Acquisition will interact with candidates indirectly, creating a thoughtful, informative, and inclusive hiring process; and directly, conducting candidate interviews and assessments where appropriate.

Who you are:

  • 8 years minimum, talent acquisition experience
  • 5 years minimum, talent acquisition team management experience
  • Bachelors degree
  • Demonstrable ability to cultivate strong, lasting relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of effective recruiting and hiring processes and strategies
  • Persuasive; able to influence others at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Values being present to support company and team, open to onsite 3 days a week
  • Experience with Greenhouse preferred
